If you feel like you’re in danger, simply press a hidden button on the bracelet to send a text to 911 with your GPS location. Alternatively, if you’re in a “grey zone” moment—say in an uncomfortable conversation with a lout at a bar—Flare, which debuted this year, can alert friends or initiate a fake phone call that will provide an “out” and help you exit the situation. —Jesse Will
